Silicate

Silicate can be used as a supplement in the garden to boost plants' immune systems, making them more resilient against disease and pests. White Powder Mildew is an issue with which I struggled, motivating this discovery.

As solar output drops in the Grand Solar Minimum, we are already seeing that plants become increasingly susceptible to both disease and pests. Notably, rust is already affecting wheat crops at higher than usual levels. Proactively defending our own food sources against these issues is, it seems, quite prudent.
