Some of the measures farmers are taking to stave off the effects of the GSM include:
- Lighting MANY fires in orchards to keep the ambient temperatures up [1][2]
- hiring helicopters to hover above fields, pushing down the warm air [3]
- Buying thousands of plastic bottles to protect EACH seed [4]
- Snowtill: tilling the snow to decrease albedo, so that sun can more effectively melt the snow, so we can start planting! [5]
- Hail nets around each tree in orchard
- 'Cold water showers' to keep avocados producing
- Lasers in vineyards -- many examples
- Shooting up hot air balloons with chemicals to destroy hail
