Herbal remedy to aid with diverticulitis

The following is served three times daily, as a tea.

Ingredient Quantity
Wild Yam 3 parts
German Chamomile 2 parts
Marshmallow 1 part
Calamus 1 part


  • If flatulence is present, carminatives like ginger and calumba should be added.
  • If constipation is present laxatives like rhubarb root, or senna may be included.
  • Slippery Elm may be helpful.
