A possible alternative to expensive and unreliable grow lights for indoor gardening
Thinking about growing food indoors I was discouraged by the coast of grow lights and the unreliability of the electric grid. but then i hit upon the idea of using mirrors to direct sunlight into a room and reflect it to plants with a series of mirrors. There is a simple and inexpensive way purify water with a solar still made from clear plastic garbage bags.You simply inflate the bag put a bowl of unpurified water in it then seals up the open end of the inflated bag and put it in direct sunlight.Condensation will collect on the inside of the bag and run down to the bottom of the bag where it can be collected.You will need several of these to collect enough water.
