A possible alternative to expensive and unreliable grow lights for indoor gardening

Thinking about growing food indoors I was discouraged by the coast of grow lights and the unreliability of the electric grid.           but then i hit upon the idea of using mirrors to direct sunlight into a room and reflect it to plants with a series of mirrors. I dont know if this is feasible but I'm going to give it a try . someone had a similar idea here is his video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ljw8nVzGv0
